PlacardSort takes a full day of field photos, groups them by property using GPS, reads the address placard, and files every property into its own folder. Automatically.
Windows desktop app ยท Free 14-day trial ยท Your photos stay on your computer
Three steps from a messy camera roll to organized, ready-to-submit folders.
Export the day's photos from your phone (a single zip file works) and open them in PlacardSort.
PlacardSort uses each photo's GPS data to group shots taken at the same property. You can adjust how close together counts as "the same place."
AI reads the address placard in each group and names the folder for you, using the naming setup you saved.
PlacardSort started as a tool for one inspector's own route. It does one job well: getting you from the field to submitted reports faster.
Everything lands in a date-named folder with a subfolder for each address.
Tight neighborhoods or rural acreage: set the grouping distance that fits your route.
Set your folder-naming format once and PlacardSort uses it every time.
Hundreds of photos, even gigabytes, run on your own computer, so there's no waiting on uploads.
Use your own Claude (Anthropic) or ChatGPT (OpenAI) API key and pay the AI provider directly for what you use.
Your photos stay on your machine. Only the placard photo for each property is sent to the AI service you choose to read the address.
Every plan includes all features and starts with a free 14-day trial.
Prices in U.S. dollars. AI usage is billed separately by your AI provider through your own API key.
A Windows computer and an API key from an AI provider such as Anthropic (Claude) or OpenAI (ChatGPT). A Mac version is planned. A user guide and setup video walk you through getting your API key.
PlacardSort uses AI only to read the address placard, one photo per property. Using your own key means you pay the AI provider directly for just what you use, and you're not paying a markup.
PlacardSort groups photos using the location your phone saves with each picture, so make sure location is turned on in your camera settings. Photos without location data are set aside so you can file them yourself.
